Both days we will both support each other, but each of us are leading, if you will, different days. Learn about what we both do!

On Day 1, Craig will be reviewing in exquisite detail ALL sorts of lighting approaches, including setups and ratios, styles and philosophies, light modifiers of all kinds, reflectors and natural light, mixed lighting, speedlites (manual vs ETTL, etc) and pretty much everything he does with his lighting black magick. This is simply career-changing info for any photographer!

On Day 2, I will be reviewing Photoshop retouching. I will cover RAW processing, clean up, skin smoothing, color correction, reshaping, and more with advanced dodge and burn approaches, frequency separation and it's variances, color toning and grading, and tech stuff like saving for web and pre-press considerations. It will be approx. 6 hours of retouching training.

$475 for the weekend.

112 private acres in Bellville, complete with fields, fences, a pond, stream, trees everywhere, several old abandoned buildings (house, barn, storage building, etc) - tons of shooting opportunities everywhere! 

It's a free-form shooting event with a 1:2 ratio of model to photographers. Everyone can bring cameras/lenses, or augment their rig with speedlites, strobes w/batteries and dishes, reflectors, etc etc. Anything you wanna work with!

Fee: $129

There are 16 photographer spots total. We always have a great time, and amazing images are created by all.

Models for this event are Nikki, Katrina Lynn, Kalyn Faith, Kyle, Marcela, Peschka, Julia and Jamison - a fantastic and fun lineup!

Join us on July 21st for an amazing Fitness Glamour Workshop

Learn to light hard bodies and soft beauty, all in a premium studio environment.  This is a fantastic learning opportunity if you've never shot fitness before, and great experience in commercial fitness shooting.

This Workshop is a hands-on, guided shooting event with experienced models that are, to put it mildly, quite fit.   If you're curious about "How is this different from shooting models overall?", then you should sign up and come check it out.   I'll be opening you up to new approaches and ideas in model photography, all with a commercial feel.  After all, commercial work is what gets ya paid! :)

A combination lecture, demonstration and hands on workshop, on the in's and out's, from the ground up, of camera settings, lens review, tips and tricks, detailed info on studio lights (how those things work?), and a venue to have your questions answered!

Intense Retouch Master Class: Adobe Photoshop CS6

For those who have experience in Photoshop CS6, but feel you could really go for the next level, this is the class for you. Intense Retouch Master Class covers more details of the key tools in CS6 for glamour/fashion retouch as well how to make what you do in post production much more efficient.

Subjects being demonstrated will include non-destructive editing approaches, advanced dodge and burn, frequency separation, grading and toning, b&w conversion, masking, pen/vector tool usage, streamlining of your Ps settings to maximize performance on your computer, and more!

Concepts demonstrated include:

• Perfect skin smoothing without plug-ins, which allows for far more control, and without blurring which allows for far more realism.

• How to use Liquify without destroying your subject, making him/her look totally fake, or embarrassing yourself.

• Dodge & Burn. Yes, there are a few ways to go about it. Which works best and why? I'll show you.

• The *right* way to sharpen your images without blanketed, overall applications of the Sharpen filter.

• Realistic grading and toning to give your shots that "processed and final" commercial feel. Also, some artistic grading and toning.

These group classes are designed to be hyper-detailed but also affordable. And I am doing two different levels: Beginner's and Intense.

The Beginner's Retouch Training goes down on June 2, 2013, and is just $79. This is a group training environment, but in an intimate setting - not a large meeting hall or some such thing. The session also isn't rushed, or compacted, so there is a 4 hour solid block of training and question and answer!

The Beginner's class covers the basics: How to use Photoshop! Plain and simple. Demystifying many of the tools and learning them in detail from the ground up. I will demonstrate how each tool works, help you determine which tools are the most useful to your retouching goals, and which tools are simply unnecessary or inefficient for glamour/fashion retouch. I'd list everything thats going to be covered, but its a *long* list! Rest assured you'll walk out of there knowing more about Photoshop CS6 than you have ever known, and get to see each tool in action in a real world production.

Studio 101 is here!

This class is about LEARNING LIGHT. Specifically, studio light. We are going to cover all sorts of studio lighting, from commercial head shots to beauty to fashion and glam. Discussing the "lighting philosophy" that I approach my work with, as well as camera settings and lens analysis.

Studio 101 was created in response to Nino Batista Workshops attendees who wanted an "in between" level class that wasn't quite Beginner's but didn't delve into the Advanced world, where many assumptions are made about what one might know! Feedback also yielded us many folks who didn't want *just* glamour - hence, we are going to cover a wide gamut of studio portraiture lighting. Including beauty work, which I know a lot of you have inquiredabout. Consider this our first ever Intermediate Studio Lighting class.

What you will learn in full detail with our 2 expert mentors, Nino and Euan:

Shade use. 100% natural light. Proper exposure for subject despite possible blowout/clipping of sunny/shadow areas!

Scrim in open sun. Why assistant is important. Exposing for scrim's stop loss!

Fill strobe against sun. Using standard lighting patterns from studio work outdoors with strobe and sun as your lights!

Extreme studio feel outdoors. 2-3 lights balanced with ambient. High clarity commercial feel!

Intense Retouch Master Class: Adobe Photoshop CS6

For those who have experience in Photoshop CS6, but feel you could really go for the next level, this is the class for you. Intense Retouch Master Class covers more details of the key tools in CS6 for glamour/fashion retouch as well how to make what you do in post production much more efficient.

Subjects being demonstrated will include non-destructive editing approaches, advanced dodge and burn, frequency separation, grading and toning, b&w conversion, masking, pen/vector tool usage, streamlining of your Ps settings to maximize performance on your computer, and more!

Concepts demonstrated include:

• Perfect skin smoothing without plug-ins, which allows for far more control, and without blurring which allows for far more realism.

• How to use Liquify without destroying your subject, making him/her look totally fake, or embarrassing yourself.

• Dodge & Burn. Yes, there are a few ways to go about it. Which works best and why? I'll show you.

• The *right* way to sharpen your images without blanketed, overall applications of the Sharpen filter.

• Realistic grading and toning to give your shots that "processed and final" commercial feel. Also, some artistic grading and toning.

Beginner's Retouch Training with Adobe Photoshop CS6/CC

These group classes are designed to be hyper-detailed but also affordable.

The Beginner's Retouch Training goes down at N2Studio. This is a group training environment, but in an intimate setting - not a large meeting hall or some such thing. The session also isn't rushed, or compacted, so there is a 4-5 hour solid block of training and question and answer!

The Beginner's class covers the basics: How to use Photoshop! Plain and simple. Demystifying many of the tools and learning them in detail from the ground up. I will demonstrate how each tool works, help you determine which tools are the most useful to your retouching goals, and which tools are simply unnecessary or inefficient for glamour/fashion retouch. I'd list everything thats going to be covered, but its a *long* list! Rest assured you'll walk out of there knowing more about Photoshop CS6/CC than you have ever known, and get to see each tool in action in a real world production.

As most of you know, I love training beginner's, and always make it a great time!
